Biography Amy Webb is a quantitative futurist, best-selling author, and founder of one of the world’s most influential strategy and foresight consulting firms. She is CEO of the Future Today Institute (FTI), where she pioneered a data-driven, technology-led foresight methodology that reveals the future through trends and scenarios. Together with her colleagues, she identifies threats, white spaces and opportunities early enough for action. FTI provides strategy and foresight consultation services to the senior management of major organizations and governments. Amy was honored as one of the BBC’s 100 Women of 2020 and is ranked on the Thinkers50 list of the 50 most influential management thinkers globally. Amy also serves as a professor of strategic foresight at New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University’s Säid School of Business. She was elected a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Risk Advisory Council, is a founding member of the Forum’s Strategic Foresight Council and serves on the Forum’s Global Futures Council. Regarded as one of the most important voices on the futures of technology (with specializations in both AI and synthetic biology), Amy is the author of four books, including the international bestseller The Big Nine and her most recent, The Genesis Machine, which was listed as one of the best nonfiction books of 2022 by The New Yorker. A widely published and quoted thought leader, Amy regularly appears in a wide range of publications and broadcasts. She is a member of USA Cycling and is an all-season, competitive long-distance cyclist.
