The AI Economy Is a Small-Business Economy
Presented by Goldman Sachs
Small businesses have driven 61% of net new U.S. job creation, and they will continue to punch above their weight as the economy undergoes an AI-driven transformation. Small-business owners are eager to use AI, and small-business employees are concentrated in industries less likely to see job displacement. At the same time, they lag their larger peers in AI adoption, and rural small businesses are falling behind their urban peers in AI use. By drawing on insights from Goldman Sachs’s 16-year legacy working with entrepreneurs through its program 10,000 Small Businesses, the panel will explore AI’s impact on the small-business workforce, its implications for customers, and the opportunities it creates for small businesses in an AI economy.
