Stranger-in-Residence: Leveraging Emerging Tech to Push and Preserve Culture
Hosted by Barbarian
How can brand marketers and agency creatives alike push the boundaries of collaboration? Join Barbarian to take a look at its “Stranger in Residence” program, which brings together artists, technologists, and creatives from outside of the advertising industry to collaborate with the agency in an 8-week-long residency. This panel discussion will include Barbarian’s latest Stranger, LaJuné McMillian, recently partnered with Barbarian and Eyebeam on the Black Movement Project (BMP). In a world where Black culture is all too often appropriated and exploited, BMP aims to preserve and honor Black movement through emerging motion-capture technology. Other panelists to include previous Strangers who will show how agencies always need new ways of thinking and collaborating to enhance creative work.
