Directed by David Hallberg, ABT principal dancer and spokesperson for Revlon, Nike, and Tiffany & Co., ABT Incubator is a two-week choreographic program that provides a focused lab to generate and inspire ideas for the creation of new work. Each year, at least five participants are chosen through an audition process, with selections made by a panel of choreographers, directors, and artists in ballet and dance, including ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, ABT Principal Dancer David Hallberg, and ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Selected choreographers are provided with studio space, a stipend, collaborators, panel discussions, and mentorships, to create new work for dancers from American Ballet Theatre and the ABT Studio Company.
