Facilitated by MAËLLE GAVET, Technology Executive and Entrepreneur, and Author, Trampled by Unicorns: Big Tech’s Empathy Problem and How To Fix It

Date & Time
Wednesday, October 7, 2020, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Description
Empathy is crucial to building successful and sustainable tech businesses. It lays the foundation for companies to be more human-centered. Yet Big Tech leaders have a tendency to stray from their user-first ideals in the name of innovation, causing damage to human lives as a price to pay for progress. In this session, participants will discuss how prioritizing empathy can help leaders and entrepreneurs build successful, sustainable businesses and ensure that technology serves humanity, as opposed to the other way around.

We will discuss:
  • Empathy as an individual and corporate responsibility for tech leaders
  • Ways to drive empathy into corporate culture and decision-making of tech companies
  • How to become a better corporate citizen
