Christine Hunsicker is the Founder and CEO of CaaStle, the innovative B2B technology and services company that enables retailers and fashion brands to strategically participate in the circular economy by offering their own rental experience directly to customers.
CaaStle pioneered the subscription rental model in 2012 with its owned and operated brand Gwynnie Bee. CaaStle now makes its proprietary technology, reverse logistics systems and infrastructure available to retail brands as an end-to-end solution, known as CaaS ("Clothing as a Service"). In addition to the subscription rental model, in 2021, CaaStle launched the “Borrow” function, a fully-integrated rental experience directly on a brand’s e-commerce site.
The company's white-label approach has created a new economy for retail— allowing brands to fully own the relationship with their customers, while CaaStle manages all operations, technology, and logistics on their behalf. Innovative brands including Vince, Rebecca Minkoff, Express, Banana Republic, and Walmart’s Eloqui in the U.S. and L.K. Bennett and Moss Bros. in the UK, have all embraced the CaaStle platform. A 1999 graduate of Princeton, Hunsicker quickly rose to a leadership role as the President & COO of the startup Right Media. Right Media transformed the ad exchange industry, an accomplishment that led Yahoo! to purchase the company and its technologies for $850M in 2007. Hunsicker maintained her entrepreneurial spirit by joining Drop.io as COO. Soon thereafter, Facebook acquired the company.
