Accounting for "Anti-Woke" Backlash
Hosted by Omnicom/Disqo/Do the WeRQ/Polpeo

Approx. travel time from Convene via mass transit: 10-15 min subway, 30 min walk

Description

Another day, another LGBTQ+ marketing campaign, another round of anti-LGBTQ+ backlash, another brand crisis and apology cycle. It's been seen before and will be seen again: The question is, how can true innovators break this cycle that spurs uncertainty and stifles inclusion? How can brands create marketing plans that proactively account for the disproportionately loud "anti-woke" sentiment on social media? At this Fast Track, an expert panel will discuss how companies can get ahead of the backlash inclusive marketing campaigns are bound to receive while shaping a more creative culture reflective of a more diverse nation. The session also includes an interactive Polpeo crisis simulation that allows attendees to experience being in a live “anti-woke” backlash with expert commentary from the panelists.
