In the late 90s and early 00s, basketball advertising was full of attitude and personality. Over the years, art took a back seat to science, and the launch playbook grew predictable and unexciting. So when Adidas and Johannes Leonardo got together to launch Anthony Edwards’s first signature shoe, the mission was to bring the edge back to the basketball category and restore the feeling. The result is a campaign that has reignited the flame in basketball culture through fun and provocative films that felt more like entertainment than advertising. Join Johannes Leonardo for a panel including Paul Webber, senior director, Global Brand Marketing, Adidas Basketball; Cam Mason, head of sports marketing, Adidas Basketball; Stephanie Mejia, WME sports executive and NBA agent; and Zack Browne, creative director, Johannes Leonardo. Attendees can then step into a re-creation of the Anthony Edwards 1 set to interact and capture photos within the experience, learning about the behind-the-scenes process of creating the ad campaign in the process.
