Harnessing AI for Good in the Fight Against Poverty
Hosted by Robin Hood

Approx. travel time from Convene via mass transit: 20 min subway

Description

Rapid and radical technological change, like we’re experiencing with machine learning and AI, is often feared as a destructive force. But it has just as much potential to improve lives and expand opportunity. Join Robin Hood, NYC’s largest local poverty-fighting philanthropy, in exploring the game-changing capabilities of AI to combat inequality and help Americans facing disadvantage get ahead.

In this Fast Track session, learn how Robin Hood-funded AI concepts are revolutionizing the delivery of social services to low-income New Yorkers and improving the way we work and learn through live demos and discussion. Attendees will also get a first look at finalists and their concepts from Robin Hood’s AI Poverty Challenge, a nationwide call to identify powerful AI breakthroughs to expand upward mobility from poverty. These nine organizations are finalists for three $1 million awards to fund their AI concepts in the areas of workforce, education, and financial empowerment—shaping a more equitable future.
