Legendary fashion designer Norma Kamali’s influence spans five decades, from creating iconic designs such as the “sleeping bag” coat and Farrah Fawcett’s iconic red swimsuit to being a pioneer of athleisure. In her latest era, Kamali is blending fashion and technology. Last year, at the age of 78, Kamali took a generative AI class at MIT and began building an AI platform trained exclusively on her designs to archive her work and be a copilot in her creative process.
