Sonia was editorial director at Black Enterprise across multiple platforms and became the founding editorial director of their Women of Power Summit, the premier annual leadership conference for professional women of color. She is also the co-author of Good is Not Enough: And Other Unwritten Rules for Minority Professionals (Penguin Books), nominated for an NAACP Image Award. Sonia was a contributor to Maria Shriver’s Tips for Life. In her previous position as Press Secretary and Director of Public Information for the New York City Department of Finance, she oversaw communications and branding for the nation’s largest and most complex municipal tax administration.
